From a very young age I was immersed into the art world.
Now painting private commissions, as well as painting live art at charity events in the last 18 months, I have raised close to $150,000 for MND, MS, Leukemia Foundation, Zero2Hero Youth Suicide Prevention, Telethon kids, Breast Cancer Awareness, Team Millstar and more. From painting mermaids in front of a live audience with my hands at Rottnest island, to painting live at Optus Stadium with Thirsty Merc on stage for Zero2Hero, (a charity that raises money for youth suicide prevention which I am very passionate about.) My work is broad and has many diverse styles. Painting the Prime Minister Scott Morrison, the Premier of WA Mark McGowan, Nat Fyfe, Nic Naitanui, Daniel Ricciardo and Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) Constance Hall, has been both challenging and rewarding painting most of them live at charity events. My greatest inspiration and motivator is my husband Kian Colely, my daughters Ayla and Summer and close family members. Being mentored by one of WA’s greatest well known artists Helen Norton, I wanted to learn from the best in order to be the best artist that I can be, and to inspire others to also live their dream and explore their own true gifts. It was an honour to recently be interviewed on the Foxtel Talkshow Hello Darlink! with Barbara McNaught to talk about my art journey and hopefully to inspire others to follow their dream.
Raising money recently live at the Optus stadium teaching zoom art classes and running the online fundraising campaign $21 for 2021, in order to help the family of Milli Lucas was an honour and a privilege. Painting the cover of the book 'Milli's Story,' written by her mother Monica Smirk was an amazing experience where I placed symbolism throughout the painting in honour of Milli. Stay tuned for many more exciting new events and work! Keep creating, hope I inspire. :)
